SCHOOL HISTORY

The School began as an initiative of the chief Mr.David Kiarie Kairu in consulatation with the Kitito Parish father in charge.

The nursery School classroom was converted into a form one class in february 1980. The first class of 49 students was admitted from 4th february 1980 to 25th september 1980. The first head teacher was the late Gabriel Njau Kabui who managed both Ithanga primary school and the just began secondary section.

The school took its second form one class on 20th january 1981 which was made up of 16 students.Due to lack of qualified staff the school did not admit form one in 1982 and therefore those in form 2 by then later on in 1983 transferred to other schools to join form 3 .

However once again the school admitted its third form one class in 1983 without a form two class who went up to form two in1984.

The fourth form one admission was done on 23rd january 1985 who proceeded to form two in 1985 without any form one admissions. The 1985 form two transferred to other schools in 1986 while the school once again admitted the fifth form one class on 6th february 1986.

from 6th february 1986 the school has continued to date. the first K.C.S.E group was presented in october-november 1989 under Headship of Mr.Njau.
